PACEDM has learned that W4 Performance Ad Market, one of the best known affiliate CPA marketing networks, has been bought by Digital Media Solutions, located in Tampa Bay.

While financial terms were not disclosed, Digital Media Solutions CEO Joe Marinucci called the transaction a game-changer.

The acquisition will allow Digital Media Solutions to garner W4’s marketing reach through email, searches and social media.

“Joining forces with a company like DMS provides a perfect opportunity to expand our publisher network with the full deployment of our proprietary platform,” W4 CEO and co-founder Jason Durant Walker said in a statement. “We’ve got the most experience in the business, and our technology brings everything we know to the table, benefiting all W4 advertisers and publishers, as well as all DMS business units going forward.”

Along with creating job opportunities in development and administration for its Clearwater headquarters, Digital Media Solutions plans to continue to utilize W4’s Santa Monica, California headquarters and staff through the transaction.
