Namecheap doesn’t inundate you with a barrage of options just to buy a domain name. Buying and managing domains with Namecheap is far easier. And Namecheap’s WHOIS protection is far cheaper and easier to use than GoDaddy’s somewhat disjointed solution.

Thanks for posting this! I honestly never knew anything about NameCheap until now. (It looks very nice!)

It’s a shame that most people don’t know about them. But this was definitely insightful! I wish you guys the best!

(I may be stopping by soon.)

This is a topic close to home. I once had 200 domains at Godaddy, and they automatically renewed about 60 .info’s that I didnt even want. I had definitely checked off the ‘do not auto renew” button.

They refused to refund me, and I moved every single domain off of them to another registrar. Yes, it was namecheap.

  • Jesse MacDougall says:

I had my GoDaddy account literally stolen from me.

I provided photo identification and the credit card I bought domains from but they would not give me my account back, or contract the current registrar of my domains that took over my account, unless I start a civil subpoena.

If anyone can shed some guidance on how to obtain these domains back would greatly be appreciated.
