Geno Prussakov of Affiliate Management Days talks with Murray Newlands at Affiliate Summit about the need for a conference that focuses on affiliate management. Thus, he’s created his own conference series that focuses on networking of affiliate managers, and how running affiliate programs should be run. He also gives a few tips about how to management a program including a very important tip of not thinking that you know more than your affiliates.

Top 5 Tips for affiliate managers here are common sense…Affiliate Days must be for networks and/or affiliate managers that have absolutely no idea how to not only manage their affiliates but how to build (business) relationships with them, earn their trust and secure and maintain their business.
Pace, Murray, thank you for this opportunity. It was surely an unexpected video shooting (and interview), but I loved it (however spontaneous it was, Murray had some great questions). Thanks again.
Ryan, thank you for taking the time to listen/watch, and comment. You’re right: these *are* “common sense” tips; but so is all “best practice” type of advice (regardless of the industry). Also, you’ll be surprised how many affiliate managers miss at least 3 of these 5… Speaking of Affiliate Management Days: I respectfully disagree. While there is a lot of demand for educating the uneducated ones (which I personally have been doing for over a decade, and AM Days also does do this), the demand for up-to-date solutions and thought leadership is not any smaller. AM Days seeks to satisfy both of these.
