One thing I would like to point out is that some of us online marketers we like to keep our personal lives out of our business life hence the creation of our second accounts.

I have a personal which I share with family and friends and I also have a second account that I use for my websites or other profiles so that people I connect with online do not have the ability to know my personal life.

Facebook is good for connections but I don’t want people I am in business with to know too much about me.

Facebook is facing the real challenge not disclosed in its IPO filing. Slow user grower rate, ineffective Ads, lot of fake users, and even robot clicks!. You should read its filing from top to bottom, and you may think – will it be another myspace?

Like all other online frauds, Social Media is also experiencing the fraudulent attacks. Facebook is the most popular social networking portal and hence it is also experiencing a great amount of fake fraud accounts in the present time. Every user should be aware of these threats and know how to counter them.

I agree about that fact but I think not 10% the ratio is above 30%.

I guess every social network or free sign up website has a percentage of fake users.This includes free Email Services as well.

I never really took to Facebook, my thinking was you could pretend to be anyone you wanted to be,especially on the dating scene because one can hide behind the computer screen, when dealing with people face to face, their body language,eyes etc all tell the truth

I don’t believe that the number of friends is that big a point on FB. If you average the heavy game users you will find they have well over 1000 friends. These are mainly other gamers and the primary reason is the gifting in the games. So just because they have a lot of friends doesn’t mean they aren’t real especially if you see they are playing 3 or 4 different games there.

Impressive, but not surprising…and poor investors that evaluated the company partially on its number of users..that means the company probably worths a couple billion less
