Not Paid by CPALead? Get $500 Reward

pile-of-cash

Seems that a competitor of content locking company CPALead has gone nuts on them, posting under different names on WarriorForum that they aren’t paying their bills to affiliates. While WarriorForum admins deleted most of the posts after finding they were posted by the same IP address, CPALead is taking the fight back to the accusers. They have decided to offer a reward of $500 for anyone who can “prove” that they were not really paid by CPALead for traffic. Most likely they aren’t going to have to pay a single dime to anyone.

CPALead, in an open letter to WarriorForum members wrote that it is their opinion that it is a competitor of theirs that is having significant financial problems and a “host of other woes” that is behind the anonymous posts. This comes only days after CPALead CEO Peter Tarr came out with a public offer to help EWA & BlamAds with any issues they might be happening financially in comments in this publication.

As many of you may know, there have been a lot of “suspicious” threads popping up in the last day or two that have called CPAlead into question as far as payments go. The majority of these threads are by new accounts or individuals who have a clear agenda and are trying to help others in the industry divert attention away from their own, real problems which circle around cash-flow, potential bankruptcy and a host of other financial woes.

So, rather than have a silly debate with fake posters. CPAlead wanted to clear the air once and for all by offering the following:

If you have not been paid on time and according to proper schedule by CPAlead (without any pending investigation for fraudulent activity or advertiser disputes), please share evidence with everyone here. If you can do that and have legitimate proof, we will give you a $500 gift certificate of your choice! So please, feel free to share your information right here on this thread for everyone to see. Be sure to include all relevant information – no rush either, we’ll be keeping an eye out and extending this courtesy all month long, so for those who have already posted – if legitimate – come claim your reward today and share with the rest of the community here.

If the other(s) in the content locking space, who are currently under scrutiny, have nothing to hide and are sincere in suggesting that they have been paying their publishers on time want to validate those claims then we invite that (or those) companies to join us here. After all, if they are paying their publishers then there is nothing to lose by joining this thread. In fact, they would only be validating what they are claiming to be true.

This is perhaps one of the most interesting strategies that we’ve seen a company take in order to nip competitor’s claims in the bud: show us the proof that anyone hasn’t been paid (even by mistake) and we’ll show you the money.  I had no idea that the content locking space was so competitive, but it seems that there are potentially tens of millions of dollars at stake based on which companies is seen as the most reliable. Affiliates are already scarred that companies will go out of business, and with COPEAC and EPIC failing recently, and questions about Neverblue popping up it makes sense that publishers are worried.

Peter Tarr and I had spoken and even though what he did was an attack in poor taste, I came to to the conclusion that he was a lot better of a person than I gave him credit for. I have to deal with faceless people hiding behind screen names attacking my businesses and quite honestly it’s the most obnoxious thing. The only thing one can do is simply address the angry client, offer help and move on. 9 out of 10 times, it’s not even someone really upset – it’s just another “hater”. I think he addressed it the best way possible.

After skimming through the comments here, I fully believe with Ryan. To make something positive out of something negative is astonishing, and takes a lot of intelligence and skill to master. Great comment Ryan!

This read has not only been one of the most interesting posts I’ve read recently, but with all the honesty on this site, I can’t help but agree with you guys, but most importantly, Ryan. Your post was not only sincere, but it also had a dramatic impact on my feelings.

Ryan – Peter Tarr is just doing this for attention for his dying network. Doesn’t anyone remember when they banned thousands of publishers last year for no specified reason after the FTC & Facebook sued them?

  • So basic if EWA or Blam does NOT do this then it proves all the people saying they are missing payment right.

    Smart

Applauds for CPALEAD or Peter Tar or whoever picked this idea up.

If you have nothing to hide put your money where your mouth is. I wish every business in the world did this for all services id be rich!

Epic, Neverblue, Blam Ads, EWA, Copeac are all networks that are bankrupt and/or struggling financially, it’s an excellent business move for CPALead to offer this kind of reward to separate themselves from this crowd.

Ryan, you clearly stated previously that you were having trouble paying your publishers, so which is it? You should offer this same type of reward if your not having cash flow issues.

  • Riza G says:

Ryan if you commented for this why dont you step up and make the same offer and silence your HATERS. Not doing it even with people asking says your not paying

if your paying your pubs you have nothing to lose. Like Pace said CPALEAD probably wont pay a dime.

more it goes on more it proves EWA is not paying.

Shut the haters up Ryan even you said by doing this cpalead addressed it best way possible. Do the same! EWA is one being questioned not CPALEAD

honestly the difference in rates you get from these companies all year maens absolutely NOTHING if you ever dont get paid once cause you loose a hundred times more than you made

its cool cpalead is offering weeklies to everyone and making this offer but i dont care about that at the moment cause they arent the issue

i wish epic were giving a $500 reweard.. im half laughig half crying

    @Ryan, Don’t be naive.

As far as fake posts go, WickedFire has been flooded with them. For a while there they were appearing daily, always with a brand new account, sometimes even having the same text and same screenshot. Never any referral link or anything else that would be of benefit to the poster, only to the company. Most threads were deleted but here’s a couple surviving examples

I had a problem with Cpalead.
I had in great british pound around £700 to be paid and asked few times Affliate manager ”John ” and Jeremy about geting paid.
Few days later my accout was disabled and never got paid.
I have friend of mine who is been banned and never got paid more than $900.00 .
    I think this is reapoff.
Here is my email nej81@msn.com .
I brought from my referal more then 30 Cpalead Publisher to cpalead and in the end banned.
They shuld pay you the money you have earned at list and then ban you for whatever reasen.
I thnk they dont play fair, i think they cheat and this is not fair to hold up and take 1000′s or Pound from publishers and never pay them.

So users are not just putting up thinks there in the internet , this sh… happens for reall.
Look at fiverr.com they are great even if they ban you after 45 days you get all your money earned to your account.
I have spend money on advertising my website to earn that much money with cpalead in the end ban you and never pay you.
Not fair at all. I think Cpelad has gone down…. and they try to ingnore eerything what happens.

    Thanks…

  • James Taylor says:

CPAlead forgot to tell everyone how they banned hundreds if not thousands of accounts just last year for no reason and left so many people high and dry without a payment. So $500 is nothing when they stole tens of thousands maybe even hundreds from their publishers. (not sure of exact numbers so I won’t try to pretend like I know every detail) They try to keep that on the down low but it definitely happened and my best friend still hasn’t been paid out to this day from CPAlead.

I would just watch your back with these guys, I would hate to be with a network that might just one day decide it’s ok to ban your account along with an abundance of other’s accounts and then offer rewards with that money.

    That is all.

  • Fehzan Ali says:

… and the publicity stunt continues in my opinion.

  • Adnan says:

    So

    CPALEAD has posted
Ryan Eagle the owner of EWA and Blam Ads
Fehzan Ali the owner of Adscend has posted

The only ones putting up any money and standing behind their word is CPALEAD

That pretty much speaks for itself. This was an invitation to everyone and CPALEAD even said so.

Ryan and Fehz both posting and not doing the same is bad in speaking about their companies.

On the other hand ive never missed a payment with any of them and ive tried all 3. I got weekly with CPALEAD and net 15 with the other guys. 100% of all payments but im one person and my info isnt so recent. I tried blam and may go back and I left Adscend when FB sued them but also may go back since that bs is done with as far as i know

Eagle said it best cut the BS this is the best way possible to address things. Good stuff CPALEAD

  • So if affiliates do not like BS excuses about “staffing problems” instead of on time payments, or if they have ongoing technical issues with the Blam platform, that makes them haters?

It seems like the way Ryan explains everything away, there are no valid reasons to criticize, even if you got paid 2 weeks late. You should look at it as a feature, it is a wonderful thing that you are getting paid late as Blam is expanding rapidly. No, no, it has nothing to do with Epic or patent trolls. It has nothing to do with cash flow issues at all. Its just that your email went to the spam folder; I mean I need to hire 10 new people to handle payments.

Are we supposed to believe this with a straight face? If Blam is taking on some negative attention from another network in regard to this, I say it is well deserved. People do not like hearing a bunch of lame made up excuses when it comes to getting paid. If CPALead wants to call them out on their hype, more power to them.

  • Nexhmedin says:

I am with Peerfly and Adscendmedia .
To my Opinion Adscendmedia so far is been the greatest.Never Missed any Payments so far, always on time.
Peerfly has been 2 months now and no pay.I try to contact Luke , MY PF Manager, hi sad you’ll get paid next month, so far still wating !
I have spend money advertising Peerfly offers which converts well, however now i need to get paid so i can use some of that money to Promote more offers, However 2 months now and nothing!
    NO PAY.
Somthing wrong with this Affiliates Companies!

  • Farhan Z says:

This article is hype. CPALEAD isnt dumb enough to issue an article if they have to pay out even one person.

The whole reward thing is pointless this isnt an article to reward pubs. Instead its an article that proves cpalead pays all of their publishers and probably more important proves that

Blam Ads does not pay pubs and Adscend Media does not pay pubs.

Fehzan and Ryan Eagle both posted but didnt put up an offer and thats kind of the whole message of the thread.

Im not gonna call bait switch on this thread but the whole $500 reward thing is bogus. Not that they wont pay $500 but more that its basicly a big flashy sign bringing attention to whats being talked about. Other times lately i do see a lot of bate switch articles though

This proves what i thought anyhow that only 1 in so many incent companies are real companies and not kids running out of a basement. IMHO I think that incent as a whole is just a fad with limited time till the market kills it for good.

  • Celeb Gossip says:

EWA is sinking ship. Will go down very soon

Ryan says (rather boasts) that there are No payment issues and he offers to help/resolve the payment issue online and on many forums. But in reality it is NOT true. !
I have not been paid from 2 months and the only reply I get from him is he will take it up as priority and resolve at the earliest! (May be this is his automated reply message)

I have sent over 15 mails to the accounting and to Ryan in the last 3 weeks, but still they have not paid me.

  • James Taylor says:

Not sure why my comment wasn’t approved just because of the Google linking to search results.

@Replytolies Long story short because I don’t want to type out my response to you again, but yes CPAlead did infact delete and ban accounts that made a lot of money. If you search “CPAlead banning accounts” you will see a plethora of results from publishers being banned if you made too much money among other things because they didn’t have the cash flow. So they banned pubs and kept the money, you can call me an idiot all you want but I don’t think the google results are “bots” which make up for majority of CPAlead’s revenue anyways.

  • Chase says:

Does anybody even see the original purpose of this thread? It is clearly to bring publicity to CPALead. This is a rather bold move in my opinion. CPALead can say whatever they want, but the fact is this is a prod and is causing unnecessary tension for all networks. I have not had any payment issues with EWA, and if you just contact Ryan he responds in a timely manner.

  • Morgan Chase says:

So sick of reading these attention whore posts, what happened to solid objective reporting? This kind of bait and switch and misleading headlines is exactly what is destroying affiliate marketing blogs.

Shouldn’t a blog be objective reporting, not clearly biased with an agenda reporting? This blog is like the Fox news of affiliate marketing. Overhyped headlines, always pushing their own negative agenda trying to destroy someone’s reputation or something.

I don’t even run Incent so I could care less about Blam or CPALead, but what good does a post like this even do? Makes me think that these posts can be bought for a mere $500 so every network can slander their competition, just pay “objective” journalist and you can trash them all you want, sad day, I used to love this blog too and there’s plenty of other exciting news to write about, just probly not as catchy headline?

  • Jim says:

I’ve run traffic with both Blam and CPALead and not had any problems with either of them in the getting paid on time department. But that’s where the similarities end. My ROI has been way higher with Blam versus CPALead so I stick with them. No offense to CPALead, but publicity stunt or not its easy to pay people on time when it seems like you run on larger margins than Blam. I know everyone has to make money but if I earned it I want as high a percentage of it as possible.

  • Owen says:

This whole thing seems like a bad PR stunt!

  • DRyan says:

Is it not obvious to everyone else that this is just a bad PR stunt? It’s obviously working since many of you are saying “Wow, they’re putting their money where their mouth is, that’s so cool!” You’re all falling for it.

  • NeverBlue Affiliate says:

Wow, attention whores. that’s all these networks are. I call bullshit on all of this. No one is going to pay a dime to anyone – and all of these networks minions are going to say their network is the best in the comments. Another awesome post, Pace… *Rolls eyes*

  • ewa dont pay says:

Take it from EWA do not pay on time and you can never get hold of them.
If you send anymore traffic to them after reading this and the comments above you must be an idiot. I happen to think they are a great network in terms of promotional guides and the offers they have – but when it comes to payment and communication its hopeless

  • Don't Trust EWA says:

If you guys are planning to get into EWA, stop doing it. It’s not worth it. They never pay on time. It’s really hard for them to reply the emails. Especially Savy Lam. She’s responsible for the payment.

    Be careful guys!

  • Anonymous says:

Honestly – yet another PR stunt from a company that is already so troubled. Saddening.

  • Whitez says:

I have not been paid by EWA network and it’s not a lie…I’ve been waiting for months and they keep delaying as if they don’t have any attention to pay at all.
